When you look around the world, you find that the food people eat in different countries is based on what's available and what the locals need? Well, The same thing applies to you. Your food choices that are right for your healthy lifestyle depend on various factors including your environment, emotions, and people around you.


  • Environment: Your favorite dessert at the party, or that pack of brownies your colleague brought

  • Emotions: Having a bag of chips while feeling bored, or digging into an ice cream tub to relieve work stress

  • People Around You: Regret your diet decision while seeing that fit and healthy person next to you eating that cheeseburger


These things influence your decision a lot. We also learned about different diets and eating styles and how these styles can affect your weight loss journey. But today we will talk about how can you adapt any of these eating styles.


So, if you have a plan on trying these styles, here are a few things you should ask yourself first;


  • What benefits would this eating style give me or what are some of the drawbacks of this eating style?

  • Does this eating style, according to my lifestyle, or work with my routine?

  • Would I enjoy this eating style? Do I like the food it contains? Would I be able to avoid all the food restrictions here?

  • How does this eating style actually make me feel? Does it align with my beliefs and line up with my priorities?


Well, all of these questions matter but take a closer look at the last one- How does this eating style actually make me feel? As we have discussed above, our food choices can be influenced easily by our emotions, beliefs, and environment.


Is this eating style that you are choosing according to emotions, beliefs, and your environment. It is your personal eating style so it should be yours and only your personal decision - the one that works best for you. not the one that is working for your coworker, partner, or colleagues.

So, the next time you are trying a new eating style, ask yourself WHY THIS ONE?
